A little help,
when you need it.
Contact joel@trackerscloud.com. Tell us which browser you use and what happened. Keep health records, passwords and backup passphrases out of your initial email.
Start small
Choose one task, a few pages of a book, or a meaningful move. Your first account visit lets you choose a starting point and a name. You can change your profile in Settings later. Health and reminder features are optional.
Pick the workspace that suits you
Device-only mode saves in this browser. Signing in opens a separate account that syncs automatically while connected. On another device, sign in with the same Microsoft or GitHub identity. The two providers do not share an account.
During account setup you can bring device-only progress with you, or start fresh. For an existing account, Settings → Bring device-only progress combines the two. It imports once per browser/account to avoid duplicate XP and records. It leaves the original device-only copy intact. Legacy paired copies remain separate; sign into the account on each device for account sync.
If sync is waiting
Your changes are saved to the current workspace in this browser. Keep the app open, reconnect and choose Settings → Sync now. If the session has expired or changed, the workspace locks instead of showing another person’s data. Sign in again with the same provider to resume. Export a backup if you need to keep a separate copy.
Shared devices and sign-out
Use Settings → Sign out safely. The app saves pending changes before clearing that account’s browser cache and stopping this browser’s reminders. If it cannot save or remove reminders, it keeps the workspace open and explains how to retry. Other open tabs for that workspace are locked when sign-out completes. Device-only data stays separate; clear it using its reset controls if you do not want to leave it on a shared device.
Account recovery and deletion
Microsoft and GitHub manage password recovery. Use your provider’s recovery process if you cannot sign in. To delete Next Chapter account data, open Settings → Delete my account data and type DELETE. Deleting progress also removes account-linked cloud reminder schedules. This does not delete your provider account, downloaded backups or legacy device-only copies.
Reminders
Reminders need notification permission, a supported browser and connectivity. You choose whether they show detailed or private text. Changing accounts stops the previous workspace’s reminders on this browser before opening the new one.
